answer your questions regarding postal regulations. We can
also assist individuals in planning mailing projects.
Assistance is available for the following:
- Database design and exporting address records
- Design of mail portion of direct mail piece
- To ensure postal savings, postal regulations and
guidelines
- Coordinating mail projects
- Cost and time estimates
- Expediting mail project
Central Facility for
Metering Mail:
Mail Services is the only postal facility for metering
(applying postage to) University mail. Mail Services also
contracts for delivery of international mail with daily
pickup from Westwood Annex.
Addressing
Inter-Office Mail:
Interoffice mail should be addressed with the Mail Stop
Code first, department name, followed by the name of the
individual.
Example: MS 210, Mail Services, Jane

Addressing Incoming
Mail:
Mail delivered to the University of Toledo should be
addressed in the following format:
University of Toledo
Department Name
Department Mail Stop Number
2801 W. Bancroft St.
Toledo OH 43606-3390*
There are a few offices, i.e. Admissions and Alumni, that
use a different +4 extension on their zip code. Please
contact extension 3877 if you have any questions regarding
which +4 code to use.

V-4-1 Mail Services - General
Policy: The University shall provide addressing services,
incoming and outgoing mail services, bulk and postage
metering services for the conduct of University business to
all University campuses. These services shall be used
for University related business only. The Vice President
of Administrative Affairs is responsible for the
implementation of this directive.
